These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the La Dorée Studio website and the purchase of any products or services offered through it. By accessing our website or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
La Dorée Studio is operated by Simona Sicakova as a sole trader, based in Australia (ABN: [YOUR ABN]). All transactions are conducted in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified.
1. Products & Services
La Dorée Studio offers the following products and services:
- DIY Templates — Shopify theme template files delivered as a digital download, for self-installation by the purchaser.
- Done For You — A template installation and configuration service completed by La Dorée Studio within 7 business days of receiving required assets.
- Customised For You — A fully bespoke Shopify store design and build service, scope agreed prior to commencement.
- Add-on Sections — Individual Shopify sections sold as digital downloads for use with compatible themes.
2. Digital Products & Licence
All templates and digital files sold by La Dorée Studio are licensed, not sold. Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased file for a single Shopify store owned and operated by you.
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, share, or transfer the template files to any third party
- Use the template to create products for resale (including other templates or themes)
- Claim ownership or authorship of the design or code
- Use the template on more than one live Shopify store without purchasing an additional licence
- Remove any credits, comments, or identifiers embedded in the code
You may customise the template for your own store, including modifying colours, fonts, content, and layout using the Shopify Theme Editor or by editing the code directly.
3. Technical Requirements
Our templates are built for use with Shopify. By purchasing a DIY Template, you confirm that you have a Shopify account and sufficient technical knowledge to install and configure a Shopify theme. La Dorée Studio is not responsible for difficulties arising from a lack of Shopify knowledge. Setup guides are included with each template, and upgrade options are available if you require assistance.
4. Service Delivery
For Done For You and Customised For You services, delivery timelines begin from the date all required information and assets are received from the client, not from the date of purchase. La Dorée Studio will communicate expected timelines clearly and notify you of any delays.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Prices for UAE customers are listed in AED. La Dorée Studio reserves the right to change prices at any time. Purchases are subject to Shopify's payment processing terms. Afterpay is available for eligible AU customers; Tabby and Tamara are available for eligible UAE customers.
6. Refunds
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details. In summary, digital products (templates and add-on sections) are non-refundable once downloaded. Service-based products (Done For You, Customised For You) may be subject to partial refunds depending on the stage of work completed.
7. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, code, documentation, imagery, and content created by La Dorée Studio remain the intellectual property of Simona Sicakova unless explicitly transferred in writing. Purchasing a template or service does not transfer intellectual property rights to the purchaser.
8. Limitation of Liability
La Dorée Studio provides templates and services in good faith. We do not guarantee that our products will meet your specific business requirements, achieve particular sales results, or be compatible with all third-party apps or future Shopify updates. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service in question.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. For customers in the UAE, nothing in these terms affects your rights under applicable UAE consumer protection law. For customers in the European Union, your statutory rights under applicable EU law are not affected.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our website or products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
